Sing Out Joyfully to Jehovah

Hello Everyone! I'm Laura! Welcome!
I live in Nebraska in the United States with my husband and a spoiled guinea pig!
I have had some friends find this old website in the last couple years.
It has been a treat to hear from brothers and sisters around the globe!

I had to take a break from playing for a few years because of a nerve problem in my face.
Thankfully, it seems to be mostly at bay the last two years.

Many of the early songs may be different or gone from the new book and most have different song numbers.
I will leave the other pages up and will add the most current songs here.
At present, the newest completed ones will be at the top of the page which is why they are not presented in order.

Some songs are challenging because of the key they are written in and sharps and flats.
So if you think something isn't quite right, let me know or adjust accordingly.

Though most will have a "C" harmonica,
if you have harmonicas in other keys,
I will add a suggested key by the song number.
(PLEASE NOTE: The suggested Harmonica key to play in WILL NOT
be the same as the key in which the song is written.)
I recently bought a set of seven and a Key Selection Guide was provided.
I find I like the tone by following it.

If you have Kingdom songs you have tabs for, I would be happy to post them here.
And if you have a song request, please let me know.

Enjoy!!

Song 104 (E)
God's Gift of Holy Spirit

4 -4 5 6 5 -6 -7 7 -7 6
Sovereign, Jehovah, merciful Father
--6 6 -5 5 4 -4 5 6 -4
Greater you are than our sinful hearts.
4 -4 5 6 5 -6 -7 7 8 -7
Lighten our burden, soften our anguish,
7 -7 -6 6 -5 5 -4 4 -4 4
Give us the comfort your spirit imparts.

Father, we all fall short of your glory,
TImes there have been when we've lost our way.
God, we implore you, Hear our petition,
Give us your spirit to guide us each day.

When we are weary, weak, or discouraged,
Your active force will our hearts renew.
Give us the strength to soar like the eagles,
May we receive holy spirit from you.

Song 12 (F)
Great God, Jehovah

7 -7 5 -6 6 -6 6 4 -5 5
Great God Jehovah, you are deserving,
-4 5 -5 6 -6 -5 -4 -4 5 -5 6 -6 -6 -7
Worthy of the highest praise Good and just in all your ways.
7 -7 5 -6 6 -6 6 4 -5 5
You have such power, deep love and wisdom,-
-4 5 -5 6 -6 -3 4
You are God to endless days.

Father, we feel your tender compassion,
We are dust, and still you care, Graciously you hear our prayer.
How you sustain us, teach us, and guide us!
Help from you is always there.

Heaven and earth now sing of your glory,
Joyfully with voices raised, We exalt you all our days.
Great God Jehovah, you are deserving
Please accept our heartfelt praise.

Song 13 (F)
Christ, Our Model

4 4 5 5 -4 4 4 5 6 6 -5 -4
What love Jehovah showed, What goodness from him flowed.
-4 6 -7 -7 7 -6 4 -4 6 -5 5
When for all makind he offered his Firstborn.
4 4 5 5 -4 4 4 5 6 6 -5 -4
Christ took on human form - The Son of man was born-
-4 6 -7 -7 7 -6 4 5 -4 4
By his example, God's name he adorned.

Jehovah's Word, he said, sustained his life like bread.
It gave him wisdom and knowledge and insight.
His Father's willing slave, a model Jesus gave:
To please his Father would bring him delight.

Like Jesus, may our days provide Jehovah praise
And may his footsteps become our own roadway.
Let Jesus' model be our path eternally
And then God's favor we'll know day by day.

Song 33 (A)
Throw Your Burden on Jehovah

4 4 5 -4 4 -3 -4 4
Listen to my prayer, Jehovah.
-6 -6 6 -4 -5 -5 5
Let yourself be found by me.
4 4 5 -4 4 -3 4 -6
Feel the anguish deep inside me;
6 4 5 -4 4 -3 4
Help me unafraid to be.
CHORUS

5 5 -5 -4 6 6 7 6
Throw your buden on Jehovah;
-6 -6 6 -4 -5 -5 5 5 -4
Trust in him to sustain and save you.
4 4 5 -4 4 -3 4 -6
He will always give protection.
6 4 5 -4 4 -3 4
He is loyal; he is true.

Had I wings just as a dove has,
Far from danger I would fly,
Safe from those who seek to hurt me,
Sheltered from their hateful cry.
CHORUS

Comfort from our God, Jehovah,
Always brings us peace of mind.
He will help us bear our burden,
He is loving; he is kind.

Song 3 (F)
Our Strength, Our Hope Our Confidence

4 -4 5 4 -5 5 -4 -3 4 -4 5 4 -5 5 -4
O Jehovah, you have given us a hope that we hold dear.
5 -5 6 5 -6 6 -4 5 4 -6 6 -5 6-4
It's a hope we find so thrilling we want the world to hear.
4 -4 5 4 -5 5 -4 -3 4 4 -4 5 4 -5 5 -4
But at times this life's anxieties are the cause of fears within,
5 -5 6 5 -6 6 -4 5 4 -6 6 -5 6 -4
And the hope that burned so brightly has suddenly turned dim.

(CHORUS)
4 -4 5 -5 6 6 -6 -7 -7 -6 -6
You're our strength, you're our hope, you're our confidence.
6 -5 5 -4 5 4 5 -4
Whatever we lack, you supply.
4 -4 5 -5 6 6 -6 -7 -7 7 7
When we preach, when we teach, we have confidence
-6 6 -5 5 -4 -5 5 4
because it's on you we rely.

So Jehovah please instill in us a heart that won't forget
For you've always been our comfort when troubled times we've met.
And these thoughts that lift and strengthen us can revive that dying flame,
For they fill our hearts with courage to speak about your name.
CHORUS

Song 103 (F)
Shepherds - Gifts in Men

5 -5 5 -4 6 -5 5 -4 5 -6 6 -5 6 4 -4
Help in our lives, Jehovah provides, Shepherds to tend his flock.
5 -5 5 -4 6 7 -7 -6 6 -6 6 -5 5 -4 5
By their example they serve as guides, Showing us how to walk.

CHORUS
4 5 -6 7 -7 -6 -6 6 6 -5 5 -5 6 5 4 -4
God gives us men who have earned our trust, Men who are loyal and true
4 5 -6 7 -7 -6 -7 5 7 -6 6 -5 5 -5 -4 4
They show concern for his precious sheep; Love them for all that they do.

Shepherds who love us care how we feel; Gently they guide the way.
When we are hurt, they help us to heal, Kind in the words they say.
CHORUS

Godly advice and counsel they give, That we may never stray.
Thus they assist us, God's way to live, Serving him every day.
CHORUS

Song 151 (G)
He Will Call

5 -4 5 6 4 4 -4 -4 5 5
Life like a mist, appears for just a day,
3 5 -4 -4 5 4 3
Then disappears tomorrow.
-5 5 -5 -7 5 5 -4 -4 5 -5
All that we are can quickly fade away,
6 5 -4 -4 5 4 -7
Replaced with tears and sorrow.
-7 4 -3 4 -7 7 4 -3 4 7
If a man should die, can he live again?
-6 6 6 -5 -5 6 5
Hear the promise God has made:

CHORUS
4 -4 5 5 -5-4 6 4
He will call; The dead will answer.
-6 -7 7 7 -7 6 -6
They will live at his command.
-7 6 6 6 -6 6 -5
For he will have a longing
4 -4 5 6 -5 -4 4
For the work of his own hand.
4 -4 5 5 -5 -4 6 4
So have faith and do not wonder
-6 -7 7 7 -7 6 -6
For our God can make us stand.
-7 6 6 6 -6 6 -5
And we will live forever,
4 -4 5 6 -5 -4 4
As the work of his own hand.

Friends of our God, though they may pass away.
Will never be forsaken.
All those asleep who in God's mem-ry stay.
From death he will awaken,
Then we'll come to see all that life can be
Paradise eternally.
CHORUS

Song 76 (A)
How Does It Make you Feel?

4 5 6 -5 -6 6
How does it make you feel
4 -4 5 4 4 -3 3
when you preach and teach with zeal
4 -4 5 6 -6 6 -5
When you know you've done your part
5 5 -5 6 5 -5
to reach an honest heart

5 6 7 -6 -7 7
Knowing you've done your best
5 -5 6 5 5 4 3
then our God will do the rest
4 -4 5 6 -6 6 -5
Honest hearts he surely know
5 5 -5 6 -5 5
all those to him disposed

CHORUS
4 5 6 -6 6 6 -4 5
It makes us glad, and we rejoice
4 5 6 -6 6 6 5 -5
to give our heart and mind and voice
4 5 6 -6 6 6 5 -5
So may our sacrifice of praise
5 5 -5 6 -5 5
continue all our days.

Song 131 (F)
What God Has Yoked Together

With dignity and joy
6 6 6 -6 -5 6
A three fold cord is bound.
6 6 -5 -5 5 -4
With God and men to witness,
-4 5 -4 4 -4 5 4
These sacred vows resound.
5 6 -5 5 -5 6
He vowed before Jehovah
4 -6 -6 -7 -7 6 5
To love her from the heart.
4 -5 -5 6 6 5
What God has yoked together,
4 -6 -6 -7 -7 7 6
Let no man put apart.
4 4 5 -4 4 4

Song 134 (F)
Children Are a Trust from God

When a man becomes a father
5 -4 4 4 4 4 5 6
And a woman has a child of her own,
5 -4 4 4 4 4 4 5 6 -6
They share a trust, they must remember,
-6 6 -5 6 6 6 4 5 -4
That is not theirs, not theirs alone.
-4 -4 5 5 -5 -4 4 -4
The gift they share is from Jehovah;
5 5 -4 4 4 4 4 5 6
Of life and love he is the one true Source.
6 5 -4 4 4 5 6 7 -7 -6
To parents he gives sure direction
7 -7 -6 6 7 -4 5 -5 -6
That they may follow the wisest course.
-6 6 -5 5 5 -5 -4 4 4

CHORUS

A sacred trust you have been given;
7 -7 7 -6 -6 6 -5 5 6
A precious life is in your hands,
4 -4 5 -5 -5 -6 6 6
You can bestow the greatest favor
7 -7 7 -6 -6 6 -5 6 7
Instruct your child in God's commands.
4 -4 5 5 -5 -4 4 4

Song 57 (D)
Preaching to All Sorts of People

We really want to imitate our God,
5 6 -5 -5 5 -5 5 -5 6 5
To be impartial, as we know he is.
5 -5 6 -6 6 6 -5 -5 5 -4
To save all sorts of people is his will;
6 -6 -7 -7 6 6 -6 -6 -7 7
He welcomes all to come and to be his.
-6 -7 7 7 -6 8 -8 -8 7 -8

CHORUS

It's the person, not the place: It's the heart and not the face.
7 -7 7 6 6 5 -5 7 -7 7 6 6 5 -5
God's message to all people we extend.
7 7 6 6 5 -6 6 6 -5 6
So because we really care, We keep preaching everywhere:
8 -8 7 6 6 5 -5 8 -8 7 6 6 5 -6
All sorts of people can become God's friend.
-6 -7 7 7 6 6 4 -4 5 4

Song 38 (G)
He Will Make You Strong

There was a reason why God brought the truth to you
3 4 -3 4 -4 5 4 -5 5 5 -4 5
And called you from the darkness to the light
4 -5 6 6 -4 5 -5 -5 4 -4
Within your heart, he saw the longing that you had

To search for him and practice what is right.
5 -4 4 4 5 -4 4 4 5 -6
You promised him in prayer to do his will;

He'll guide you and protect you, as he has all along.
6 6 5 -5 6 6 4 -3 4 -7 7 -6 6
Yes, he will make you firm, and he will make you strong.
4 6 -5 -5 5 5 3 5 -4 -4 4 4

God gave his own beloved Son in your behalf;
On this account he wants you to succeed.
If He did not withhold the gift of his dear Son,
Then never doubt he'll give the strength you'll need.
He won't forget the faith and love you've shown;
He will not fail to care for all his own.
CHORUS

(Did a couple minor changes.)
